Hi everyone. I am Benson Tsoi from 5A and I am one of the 22 Tung Wah Ambassadors from all Tung Wah secondary schools. From 19/10 to 5/11, we participated in an exchange programme to London on behalf of Tung Wah. During the trip, we visited different organizations like London Chinese Community Centre, UCL, UK Parliament, BOC London, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, and Cambridge. Also, we went to some well-known tourist attractions like the British Museum, London Eye and Windsor Castle, which were all amazing. More important, we have gained valuable experience communicating with local people and oversea Chinese.
The main purpose of this trip is to promote the spirit of Tung Wah to the locals. After the trip, we had to work on a project about how the spirit of Tung Wah has affected oversea Chinese in London.
Talking to Lord Wilson was no doubt the most unforgettable experience in this trip. Lord Wilson was the 27th governor of Hong Kong and we were honored to interact with him face-to-face. During our chat, he shared with us his life experience, which has inspired us a lot.
The experience earned in this trip was something that cannot be learnt from the textbook. It has broadened my horizon and boosted my confidence in planning my future. To conclude, it is recommended to be always well-prepared and grab the chance to explore the world.
