The English Department and LAC Committee organised the Scotland Cultural Immersion Tour 2017 – 2018 from 28th June to 8th July 2018. Twenty students from S1 to S4 were escorted by two Sun Hoi teachers to Edinburgh, Scotland, and stayed at Napier Edinburgh University for nine days.
During the stay, students had a chance to experience international English classes, learning and interacting with students from Italy and Spain in English. Sun Hoi students enjoyed their time meeting new friends from different cultures and language backgrounds immensely.
Besides classroom learning and meeting overseas students, Sun Hoi students had a great time going on different excursions to attractions around Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling including the iconic Edinburgh Castle, the spectacular Wallace Monument and the exciting Edinburgh Dungeon to name just a few.
Through the tour, Sun Hoi students have gained a wider worldview. Touring around Scotland, meeting and interviewing different people from all walks of life in English, shopping at local shops and eating the local food, all these helped open Sun Hoi students to the world.
