Youth Exchange Session at Sun Hoi welcomed CS Matthew Cheung
The Youth Development Commission and the Home Affairs Bureau are holding Youth Exchange Sessions at different schools in Hong Kong to know more about teenagers’ views on various social issues.
Sun Hoi was honoured to host the first session this year on 4th January 2019. The Chief Secretary for Administration and Chairman of the Youth Development Commission, Mr. Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, came to Sun Hoi to join the session to talk with our students. Mr. Cheung was accompanied by the Vice-Chairman of the Youth Development Commission, Mr. Lau Ming-wai, and other Youth Development Commission members. They formed groups with 41 S2-S6 Sun Hoi students to discuss the following issues:
- How to help teenagers choose the appropriate academic paths;
- How to help teenagers develop multiple skills and expand their horizons; and
- How to enhance the communication with teenagers and encourage them to actively take part in public affairs.
There is no doubt that our students benefited from the fruitful discussions through their active participation.
