An amazing achievement for the Form 1 and 2 students in their Choral Speaking performance who were crowned champions with a record high of 90 points; the highest score for any team at Sun Hoi Directors’ College.
The students performed The Crow and the Fox by Julia Donaldson. The adjudicator, Dr Anita Downey from Oxford University, praised the team for their “pleasing rhythm and clarity of speech. She also commended them for their “variety of pauses” that were “so well timed to bring out the beat of the poem.”
We are most proud of the 38 students who were involved for their determination to succeed as well their willingness to listen to feedback and improve. No doubt, their English speaking skills have been enhanced by this thrilling performance.
