沉痛悼念本校老師DAVID McDonough-Engelsberg及取消 3月13日「家校新春晚會」

本校外籍英語老師DAVID McDonough-Engelsberg於3月11日致電回校稱身體不適告假，翌日並沒有上班，校方聯絡不到DAVID McDonough-Engelsberg。同日學校收到警方的通知， DAVID McDonough-Engelsberg於3月12日被發現在其住所離世。消息傳來，全校師生深感惋惜和難過。學校已即時啟動「危機處理小組」，由教育心理學家、學校社工及教師為有需要的學生提供情緒支援，協助他們消除疑慮和紓緩情緒。
本校全體師生深切哀悼摯愛的英語教師 Mr. David Mcdonough Engelsberg。他一直以真誠教學，是學生及同事們敬愛的老師與朋友。他對教育的熱忱，將永遠留存在我們心中。本校向他的家人致以最深切的慰問，願他安息。
原定於今天3月13日晚之「家校新春晚會」經家長教師會議決，現階段不適合舉行而取消，已繳交的餐費將於3月17日全數以現金退還，敬請見諒。

In Loving Memory of Mr. DAVID McDonough-Engelsberg, and the cancellation of the "Spring Gala" on March 13th.

On March 11, our Native-speaking English Teacher (NET), Mr. David McDonough-Engelsberg, called the school to report that he was feeling unwell and would be taking sick leave. When he did not report for work the following day and the school was unable to reach him, we became concerned. Later that day, the school received notification from the police that Mr. David McDonough-Engelsberg had passed away  in his residence.

This news has brought profound regret and sadness to all staff and students. The school has immediately activated the "Crisis Management Team." Educational psychologists, school social workers, and teachers are providing emotional support to students and colleagues in need, assisting them in addressing their concerns and managing their emotions during this difficult time.

The entire school community deeply mourns the passing of our beloved English teacher, Mr. David McDonough-Engelsberg. He was a man who taught with genuine sincerity—a teacher and friend dearly loved by both students and colleagues. His passion for education will live on in our hearts forever. We extend our deepest condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

The ”Spring Gala Party” originally scheduled for tonight, March 13th, has been cancelled following a decision by the Parent-Teacher Association, as it was deemed unsuitable to proceed at this stage. Paid meal fees will be refunded in full via cash on March 17th. We apologize for any inconvenience caused."
