Improvised Drama is a fun way for students to learn, improve, and apply their English language skills.
During our improvised drama sessions, students have been exposed to language and skills related to performance. They have developed some script writing skills, but more importantly they have developed a keen sense of what engages an audience through the study of blocking and use of the stage.
These sessions are designed to arouse students’ interest in the upcoming Education Bureau ‘Speak Out! Act Up!’ competitions (for which additional training will be provided).
For their final performances, students were given a simple scenario, two props (only 2 chairs allowed) and an instruction to have fun and use English. The result? A funny, thoughtful and engaging array of performances from some very talented budding actors.
