To deepen students’ sense of national identity and nurture patriotism and civic responsibility, the Parent-Teacher Association invited parents, teachers, and students to participate in a joint National Flag-Raising Ceremony on 27th May. This initiative aimed to extend patriotic education beyond the campus to families, fostering stronger home-school cooperation.
During the ceremony, members of the Flag Guards marched with firm and steady steps to escort the national flag into the venue. As the national anthem played, the national flag was slowly hoisted, and all participating parents, teachers, and students stood solemnly to sing it. By leading by example, parents learnt flag-raising etiquette alongside their children.
The event concluded successfully in an atmosphere of "patriotism, respect, gratitude, and discipline". Through this joint participation, students not only gained a deeper appreciation of their national identity but also saw communication and connections between home and school further strengthened.
