In April, the Biology Department arranged for students to conduct a stream ecology field study in Mui Wo. The aim of this activity was to enable students to explore and apply their biological knowledge from textbooks to real-life environments. At the event, students carried out on-site observation under the guidance of their teachers, collected and analysed water quality and biological samples from the stream. After the activity, students also learned how to organize the data and write a formal field study report. Through this hands-on experience, students not only consolidated what they had learned in class but also acquired essential scientific inquiry and data analysis skills, which greatly benefited their learning.
