Our students won the championship in the Junior Choral Speaking Competition (Classical Chinese Poems). The awardees are as follows:

Lee Kit Wing (6B) is a cheerful student who is willing to help the needy in the school and society. She has devoted herself to community services and become a role model to other students as she was the Chairlady of the Hong Kong St. John Ambulance Bridge.
Lee Kit Wing was nominated for Tung Wah Student of the Year Award, and she was picked as one of the outstanding students of the year.
This year, 64 students and 2 choral speaking groups (S1 and S2) participated in the 68th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival. As usual the amount of work and dedication by both student and members of the English Department resulted in some exceptional results. The English Department is proud to announce that Sun Hoi students won ONE First Place, THREE Second Place and TWO Third Place in Solo Verse Speaking; Fifty-four students were awarded Certificates of Merit and eleven students were awarded Certificates of Proficiency. Congratulations to all students concerned and their English teachers.
Mok Shan Ni (4A) joined “TW joint School Moral Education Comic Competition” in the last academic year. She stood out from all participants from other Tung Wah Secondary Schools, so she was awarded the second prize for her creativity and talent for art.
This scholarship is co-organized by the Law's Charitable Foundation and the Education Bureau to appreciate to students who achieved good progress in their study of Applied Learning courses. Our student, Chan Ching Yiu receives a scholarship of $1000 and an additional $1000 prize as a special recognition of her demonstrating positive and persevering attitude.
This year, 67 students and 2 choral speaking groups (S1 and S2) participated in the 68th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival. The English Department is proud to announce that 3A Wong Lok Wang Lawrence won the First Place in Solo Verse Speaking (S3 Boys) and 1A Wong Tsz Shing Jason was awarded the Second Place in Solo Verse Speaking (S1 Boys).
Congratulations to the two winners and their English teachers. The Speech Festival is still in progress and the English Department would like to encourage students who will soon attend the competition to do their best and gain valuable experience. We are looking forward to sharing more good news with you in the coming weeks.
In 2015-2016, 20 students of Secondary 4 joined the voluntary workers program organized by the Chain of Charity Movement. In the previous school year, they attended several workshops and served the community for more than 230 hours in total. To appreciate them, the Chain of Charity Movement awarded them certificates.
